Any organization with a contractor role will need to have at least one driver user set up to be able to execute the routes. The drivers use android or iPhone apps to track and manage the routes, but the driver profiles are created on the platform. This article will go through the process of creating driver users step by step in preparation for route execution.
This article covers the following:
1. Set the organization up to have drivers
If this is the first driver to be created for this particular organization, reach out to Mover with a configuration request to allow the organization to have drivers. You can reach out here or through any integrations, you have set up. In the request, please provide the information on the organization menu as well as any timing desired:
- The full name of the relevant contractor organization as named in Mover.
- The organization ID (can be found under organizations> connections).
- Any timing desired
2. Create driver user
In the Contractor organization, Create the driver profile.
- Go to the Contractor organization, in the left-hand menu, and navigate to the fleet.
- In the top right-hand corner, click on the + New driver button.
- Fill out the driver information, then in the top right corner, click Create driver. Note that you are creating their emails as well as their passwords here. If they at some point forget their passwords, you can help them by providing them with it.
3. Log in to the Driver App
These steps are for setting up the Driver App and are all performed on the driver's phone.
- Download the app from the apple app store or google play store.
- Sign into the app using the credentials created in step 2.3.
- If possible, let the driver do the tutorial to get a sense of the app flow. The tutorial takes the driver through a mock route where they are able to complete stops from a distance. This helps them understand what to expect when they later go on real routes.
The driver is now ready to drive a route!
