You will need to rely on others to perform various roles in the logistics chain yourself (and good on you if you do!). Connections can be set up flexibly to match your needs. Being connected to another organization in Mover allows transmission orders and routes to each other for planning, orchestration, and/or execution. Whether you are an Order Creator organization that wants to connect to a Planner and Orchestrator organization, or a Contractor who will use the platform to receive and execute routes, you will need to first connect to the relevant organizations.
This article covers the following:
- Find organization A's organization ID
- Invite organization A to connect using the organization ID
- Accept the invitation to connect
- Next steps
All connections are bi-directional and role-agnostic in Mover: it is your logistics chain to set up, and each situation is often different.
In the following guide, for ease of description, we will call the two organizations that want to connect, organization A and organization B.
1. Find organization A's organization ID
While logged into organization A, write down the organization ID of organization A. It is a 32-character code that can be found under the organization tab beneath the name.
2. Invite organization A to connect using the organization ID
While logged into organization B, use organization A’s ID to invite you to connect.
- Go to the Organization tab, then the subtab connections.
- Press the + New connection button in the top right corner, enter organization A’s ID, and then accept. The name emerges when the ID is entered correctly.
3. Accept the invitation to connect
In organization A, accept the connection.
- Go to the Organization menu, then the submenu connections. There should now be a new row indicating the connection.
- Press the small checkmark on the far-right side to accept the invitation or the trashcan to reject or delete it. If you accept, the connection is now in effect.
The organizations are now connected!
Both organizations will appear in each other’s system in the relevant places.
Next steps
After connecting to another organization, you may want to use the connection for:
